Pioneer Live: Nu Jazz Sense of Rejection
As NYC’s most transgressive and mysterious supergroup, Nu Jazz synthesizes a decade plus of six unique, yet naturally interconnected musical journeys. Their signature vast electronic soundscapes combine extraterrestrial vocal textures with an open, raw punk improvisation. Some members have spent years in New York City’s experimental electronic scene, while others have dedicated the bulk of their musical lives pursuing jazz. Despite disparate influences, all are bound by a profound appreciation for musical frontiers that have yet to be explored, creating a sound unbound by the limitations of genre. The artists constituting the collective “Nu Jazz” have performed all over New York City, the United States and the world with their respective groups such as Deli Girls, Murderpact, CGI Jesus, Beshken, WRENS, the Trap Music Orchestra, and The Beak Trio; sharing the stage with luminaries like jaimie branch, Jason Lindner, Tomoki Sanders, Leya, Poncili Creacíon, and many more.

A Tiny desk sesh would be sick
I attended this concert and I was blown away by the power of it all!
who is that guy who keeps looming around in the background

Wtf is this
I wonder if they have sticky lungs. All that fog smoke to your face is sure to do some damage. I used to have a fog machine in my room and it became like ghostbusters sticky.
God damn it I need to see this
You need to man
"Shill" is used in American English to mean an advocate for a specific cause, presumably such as Islam, so that may have been the intended word. Christian belief obviously has a wonderful effect on those who embrace it, doesn't it?
musique Maroco Internationale formidable
A class performance. A touch of Great AAK A well prepared hand , Or magic hand. All the best.
Track list?
This live recording is amazing...but pales in comparison to in person. Cliché but true, you really had to of been there. I saw them on the euro tour this year and made sure to get to the front, its so much more transcending and arty live in person.
This song is sssssoooooooooo goood.
Thank God they don't use a whammy bar
Thank you.

This is not Doom, it is post-Doom, as in what the heat death of the universe sounds like
Why couldn't the meetup last longer, let them explore concepts while getting your PP points across as well, why the rush? This was great and could've been greater without the artificial times-up, gotta end it here.
Una misa desde el trance.
Let's get a dark knight 4 going
Anyone know what lights she’s using for this?
I am religious and I love tuning in when he talks about his hate mail because its hilarious. These letters are so ridiculous and stupid. All these people think they're so righteous lol 😂😂 these so called religious nuts haven’t made a mockery of Richard, they've made a mockery of themselves, and this is coming from someone who is a believer. These letters are so awful but the way he handles it is amazing. He cracks me up 😂😂 "thats the national health service" destroyed me 😂😂😂
Can you imagine Donald Trump reading his hate mail? He dosen't have Dawkins' courage or wit. I would be amusing to spoof
Really gorgeous music!
Finally a youtube video of these guys live! Fucking love this group
Never sucked up on this...
you either like it or you don't. i enjoy strung out ambient music and grungy guitar feedback so it stuck with me
I was there and it was a fantastic performance. Was any more of the set recorded?
was there. absolutely packed. many people sat on the floor towards the back soaking this in. very different experience than i had anticipated but it was surreal nonetheless. the sheer volume and sonic pressure forces you into a trance like state. their set surely felt longer than 1hr20min.
Woulda felt like a month ffs.
Sid ❤❤ love
Sid ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
43 must be a tribute to pink floyd any colour that you like
Saw this in Paradiso, Amsterdam. Changed my perspective on music as a whole. Insane how you can really tell different parts calming down and picking up when hearing this afterwards. It's a complete vaccuum of space and time when you're witnessing this in person.
Ronan is definitely Frank’s son. And I wish he’d come out of the closet. It’s 2024.
Interstellar was the best cinematic experience I’ve ever had. I am still sitting in that ship, I am still running from that wave. And the hole, “what is going to happen to me?”, it was that real. Incredible. Seeing it at home can never get near that IMAX screen and sound immersion.
proves the point that people will literally buy anything.
you know "drone" exists as a genre outside of this right?
wait til you hear about noise music, hanatarash in the 80s used to just scream and destroy the set, even used a bulldozer at one of their shows
@@ixxxxxxx im well aware of them. that shit was 'tarded too...
@@crswro1690 never said hanatarash wasn't 'tarded
Richard Dawkins is great! Thanks for doing this!
For any late watchers of this program, you can be assured that all of the Cosmos is in perfect harmony with our Creators will! Answers you can trust are in the four gospels.😀😀😀
This goes crazy and Dan's voice makes it even cooler! Cry about it...
shoshin came to slc, i could still hear the note as if i was next to the speakers getting a sip of beer outside the VENUE
Are you fuckin kidding me??? What is this piece of shit???
drone music, it falls under ambient. where are you people coming from anyway
I don’t understand how he can say it’s his responsibility to get vaxed to protect other ppl but he can use heroin daily and that doesn’t put ppls safety at risk?
RIP Peter Brotzmann, you gave us a lifetime of chills, spills, & thrills, shredding to the very end, rest well brother!
This is a man who had not only a better understanding of science, but life itself
I thought Tool put too much bullshit into their stuff, but this is fucking supernova epic bullshit.
Lol, fucking garbage
Let’s take talented jazz musicians and toss in a tone deaf screeching singer and call it nu jazz. lol
Sunn O))) = Jump into a crater of Volcano))) 😈🤘🖤
Wow, what a great conversation! Glad to see such a deep thinker at the helm of so many high profile projects. Westworld Season 5 and Peripheral Season 2, please!

He wanted to light up a cigarette in car accident not the most clever thing possible
I read that Joaquin went to rehab shortly after that car crash incident. So it wasn't a question of clever or not. This was an issue of personal problems that he was probably going through at the time, whatever it is alcohol or drug abuse. Hence, clearly he wasn't in the best state of mind at the time to say the least.
he was high/drunk and not making the best decisions
